Confined spaces or those that have only one point of access can pose high risk in the event of a fire. A shaftwall system is a protective structure designed to provide protection in such spaces.
Incorporated with Gyproc® CoreBoard and FireLine®, this shaftwall system provides resistance against fire for up to 2 hours in areas such as corridors and elevators in any commercial building. Gyproc® CoreBoard can be incorporated at an early stage to any construction project without the need for scaffolding. And it can also be fully assembled from the room side of the shaft as it can be built from just one side.
Gyproc® ShaftWall system can be used in commercial areas such as offices, shops, hotels, institutions and hospitals.
As part of the Gyproc® ShaftWall system, the Gyproc® CoreBoard comes with customised GypFrame® CH-Stud and GypFrame® E-Stud, with channel section and parameter abutments. It is located between the studs and is secured using GypFrame® Head Runner and GypFrame® J-Runner.
