Commercial Procurement Lead
Hybrid, London/UK-based · Permanent, full-time (part-time may be considered) · Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Right to work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Zureli is on a mission to prove that procurement can be a force for good. We help organisations reduce costs, improve commercial performance and achieve meaningful sustainability outcomes. Our clients range from food manufacturers and global technology businesses to charities and hotel groups.
We are looking for an ambitious, energetic procurement professional with a few years of relevant experience who is ready to step up, lead client projects and help grow our commercial practice.
You will work directly with experienced procurement leaders, data scientists and senior client stakeholders in a supportive, entrepreneurial environment where ideas and new approaches are encouraged.
For the right candidate, this could be one of the most exciting roles in procurement.
What You Will Do
You will contribute to major procurement programmes while leading your own sourcing projects and client workstreams.
- Lead sourcing projects from planning through to implementation.
- Analyse supplier, contract and spend data to identify savings and commercial opportunities.
- Work across categories including technology, marketing, HR, professional services, facilities and travel.
- Turn complex information into clear recommendations with procurement specialists and data scientists.
- Improve cost, supplier performance and sustainability outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- Communicate recommendations and progress clearly.
- Overcome barriers to delivery and help ensure benefits are realised.
- Contribute to proposals, client growth and the development of Zureli's services and tools.
Above all, you will be obsessed with customer success: understanding what clients need, taking ownership and creating measurable value.
What You Will Bring
This role is likely to suit someone with around two to five years' relevant experience, although ability, potential and attitude matter more than a precise number of years.
You are likely to have:
- Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial management or a related role.
- Experience owning sourcing projects or workstreams.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data.
- The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at different levels.
- A practical, problem-solving approach and a record of following through.
- An interest in sustainability and responsible business.
- The flexibility to work on a hybrid basis and travel to client sites when required.
You Will Be
- Commercial and analytical: Able to turn evidence into measurable value.
- Personable: Confident building trust with clients, colleagues and suppliers.
- Energetic and entrepreneurial: Bringing pace, positivity and fresh ideas.
- Values-led: Guided by integrity and positive impact.
- Accountable: Taking ownership and following through.
- Ambitious: Keen to learn quickly and accept increasing responsibility.
Why Join Zureli?
- Develop fast: Work directly with procurement leaders, data scientists and senior clients.
- Take real responsibility: Own projects, relationships and results early in your career.
- Do varied, meaningful work: Solve different commercial challenges across a broad range of sectors.
- Help build something: Influence our services, tools and growing commercial practice.
- Create positive impact: Help clients reduce costs and make more sustainable decisions.
- Join a supportive team: Work where ideas are welcomed and people help one another succeed.
We welcome candidates from different backgrounds and value ability, potential and values over a perfectly conventional career path.
