SSG® DuraSafe-SGP is SSG® DuraSafe using SentryGlas® (SG) as the interlayer. In contrast with other interlayers, SG allows the development of a new line of laminated glass products because the interlayer is 100 times stiffer and five times stronger than PVB. It outshines traditional interlayers by having superior edge stability, allowing for frameless edges without worries over delamination. It also exhibits higher optical clarity, safety, security, ease of maintenance, and outstanding post-breakage performance. SSG® DuraSafe-SGP has been proven to have an exceptional adhesion to glass and metal through a 84-months weathering test, with no defects spotted. Hence it can be used to lessen metal structures and fittings for structural glass assemblies and to allow the use of thinner glass. It does not possess a yellowish look present in some interlayers and hence is often used with low iron and coloured glass.
