Adirondack Teak Lounger with Footstool

This is our solid and sturdy take on the popular Adirondack loungers and chairs.

It has a fan shaped back, low seat and characteristic wide arm rests that are perfect for a drink, plate or even a small tray.

This convenient feature has made this chair popular in outdoor cafes, restaurants and bars.

The Adirondack was originally designed by an American Thomas Lee in 1903. He wanted an outdoor garden chair that he could use at his summer home and had specific requirements that he was unable to find at the time. His design, though initially just for him and his family became so liked it went into production and became popular throughout the world.

The Adirondack chair is also known as the Muskoka chair and is made with a hallmarked fan shaped straight back, rounded top and a contoured seat for comfort.

The matching footrest that is solid and beautifully curved, turns the chair into much more of a lounger and makes it perfect for sunbathing, reading or simply relaxing.

Like all our garden furniture, the teak used in this chair is A grade heartwood teak and professionally kiln dried to ensure it will give many years service.
