The Northern Wood Company

Ryan and Jack began The Northern Wood Company from their home in Newcastle upon Tyne in late 2019. Both with a keen interest in candles, Ryan with a graphic design background and Jack a hobbyist woodworker, we bought these together to create The Northern Wood Company.

We’re incredibly lucky to live in the North East, where our products are handmade, as we’re close to the stunning Northumberland National Park and other areas of outstanding natural beauty. Influencing us and inspiring what we’re creating, and what our business stands for.

Our philosophy is to create a simple, eco-conscious range for a more focused and calmer life. We aim to create the perfect mood, whatever day of the week or time of year with as little impact to the earth as possible.

Whether that’s using a scented candle or taking a moment and enjoying artwork or homeware, we apply our philosophy to all aspects of our small business.
