Description

The average ride-hail vehicle drives 45-50,000km a year, almost 4 times the mileage of a typical vehicle. With over 30 million ride-hail drivers around the world, we need these vehicles to go electric if we’re going to make air cleaner in our cities

The ride-hail industry is making ambitious commitments – Uber aims to have 100% of its vehicle fleet in London fully electric by 2025, with similar targets across other markets. Lyft, Ola and Didi are also making commitments to transition their platforms to electric, enabling drivers to make the switch.

The time to make this change is now, so we’ve partnered with Uber to create the Arrival Car – an affordable, purpose-built vehicle for ride-hailing drivers.

As part of our collaboration with Uber, we’ve invited Uber drivers to join our design process. We want the Arrival Car to meet their needs – prioritising driver comfort, safety and convenience, while ensuring a premium experience for every passenger.

For drivers

The Arrival Car has the footprint of a small vehicle with the legroom of a luxury vehicle. The holistic cabin design features an interactive touchscreen display and ensures a commanding view of the road.

For passengers

We want to help drivers deliver a premium experience for passengers. Expansive legroom adds comfort while also allowing space for passenger belongings. The Car’s glass roof enhances the sense of space, while a high floor ensures accessibility for entering and exiting the vehicle.
