SolWa SolWa is an active solar still able to treat the majority of polluted waters, thanks to the only use of solar radiation.
Through the process of evaporation/condensation, SolWa is able to separate pollutants from pure water.
The whole process is powered by solar energy. SolWa can produce up to 8 liters/m2/day of drinking water, without connections to conventional energy networks (fossil fuels or electricity) or maintenance.
It does not require any operating costs.
Thanks to its simplicity, efficiency and low price to treat polluted water, SolWa has been included within the IDEASS UN Program as “Innovation for Human Development”.
Drinking water supply is a human right, particularly in those isolated areas of the World not provided with water main.
