Sludge Treatment
ECO owns and operates a major incineration plant for the treatment of wastewater sludge. We receive the dewatered and dry sludge generated by all of the PUB Water Reclamation plants (WRPs) in Singapore.
The incineration process uses advanced Japanese technology, and more than 50% of the heat from the process is recovered to dry the incoming sludge, nearly eliminating the need to use external fuel sources.
