Handmade with the purest charcoal available on this planet, from the snippings of the Japanese Holm Oak Tree, and using an ancient technique to control the oxygen flow, the Binchotan has an ultra-porous structure that helps to remove heavy metals, chlorine and impurities. It contains 98% charcoal and should last for about three months, while each stick should be enough to filter two litres of water. It is recommended that you boil it every two to three weeks to release the absorbed chemicals and freshen it ready for re-use.
