Desso’s, Modular Carpet Tiles with Desso EcoBase® backing are manufactured from nylon fibre pile, a polyester primary backing and a polyolefin based secondary backing.

The product is suitable for residential and commercial heavy traffic areas such as offices and education, and it is available in a wide range of colours.

Desso has a Product Stewardship Program in place. The products are collected at the end of life and sent to Desso’s recycling facilities where the product is easily disassembled and recycled by the Desso Refinity® recycling technique which enables easy separation of yarn fibre from backing based on the weight of the material. Yarn is then reused in the manufacture of new carpets, and backing is recycled in Desso’s production process. Desso Refinity® is part of the Cradle to Cradle philosophy Desso is implementing since 2008. Desso’s Modular Carpet Tiles with Desso EcoBase® backing are C2C Silver certified.
