Big Ass Light’s state-of-the-art LED fixtures are ultra durable and super versatile, with lifetimes that rival giant Galapagos tortoises. We like to tell people to stick ‘em where the sun don’t shine. But it didn’t take us long to realize there are some situations where brilliant illumination is not such a bright idea, such as when you don’t want to be seen. Enter Big Ass Red LED — our latest LED fixture. Our red LED, like all our products, is a result of customer feedback. We heard that bright-as-day light is the last thing that’s needed during certain nighttime activities. Designed for large tents and mobile operations centers, our red LEDs allow for faster eye readjustment and easier reading at night, yet aren’tvisible from long distances, for those situations when you might not want others to see you. They’re ideal for nighttime field and training applications such as map reading, signaling and task lighting. Big Ass Red LED gives you the light you need to complete the mission. Like our other LEDs, Big Ass Red LED comes in an anodized, extruded aluminum housing for unmatched strength to withstand even the most challenging training environments. Big Ass Red LED — the nighttime solution for when you need to see but not be seen.   Product Highlights Construction — Heavy-duty single extruded aluminum heatsink designed to perform in ambient temperatures from -40˚ C to 55˚ C (-40˚ F to 131˚ F). End caps formed of glass-filled polycarbonate. Lumen maintenance trays made of UVA/UVB-resistant acrylic with optional polycarbonate construction. Electrical — Expected life (L70) more than 150,000 hours with an L90 at approximately 60,000 hours. Utilizes an IP67, 90˚ C rated internal driver for maximum life in high-temperature applications. Driver standard with internal 0–10 V input; optional external factory-installed 0–10 V cable. Available as multi-volt input (120–277 V or 347–480 V). Surge protection optional. Optics — Patented lumen maintenance trays direct light 15 to 115 degrees to accommodate facility needs. Available in aisleway, narrow, regular, wide, and diffused. UVA/UVB-resistant acrylic standard; optional polycarbonate available (meets AIB requirements). Controls — Optional integrated occupancy sensor (IP66 rated) provides wireless handheld configuration tool for ease of adjustment from floor level. Settings include high/low modes, time delay from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, optional secondary cutoff for bi-level control, sensitivity adjustment, photocell on/off control (1-250FC or disabled). Installation — Standard installation with aircraft cable (500 lb [226 kg] safety factor); suitable for suspension by chain or single ¾” NPT pendant socket. Mount fixture at minimum distance of 24” (610 mm) from roof or ceiling structure. Fixture will operate in mounting distance less than 24” (610 mm) with reduced maximum ambient temperature rating. Listings — ETL/Intertek-certified to UL and CSA standards. Listed for damp locations and ambient temperatures -40˚ C to 55˚ C (-40˚ F to 131˚ F) when suspended a minimum of 24" (610 mm) from ceiling or roof.
