Green Star is the only voluntary sustainability rating tool for buildings and communities in Australia, NZ & South Africa with over 1,715 projects being rated. Green star was launched by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA)in 2003.

LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is the most widely used green rating system in the world, servicing areas such as North America, South America and Asia.
