Elderly Day Care Centre design

Interior fitting out design of an NGO elderly home in Hong Kong. Existing facility required improvement works to cope with modern day operation. Many aged amenities were no longer suitable and safe for elderly people. Colonial British interior dtyle is used due to that fact that many of the elderly people the the centre are so familiar with the British governance. Timber furnishing was adopted to achieve the ambience.

Green is again, an element that continues from one project to another. Here a wall of artificial culture stone and green wall is used. All mechanical services and lights are designed withi high energy efficiency.

After completion by K&W Architects and To's Universe, the centre becomes a showcase of how green elements can be brought up into the design, visited by many NGOs in Hong Kong.
