Certified compostable in a commercial composting facility. Made from PLA Bioplastic, which is a renewable material instead of oil. Technically can be recycled although there are currently no recycling facilities for PLA in Australia - we look forward to that in the future. The emissions associated with the production, distribution and disposal of all BioPak products have been offset through the purchase of carbon credits.
