Waste Way

Hazardous waste company

From its foundation in 1972 Waste Way has grown from a small general waste contracting company to a hazardous waste company that operates across the UK.

With the introduction of the Control of Pollution Act in 1974 to the Environmental Protection Act 1990 needs and regulatory requirements for customers have rapidly changed. Once again legislation, this time The Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005, has changed the industry and once again, Waste Way has been at the forefront in making sure that all their customer’s waste is processed for disposal to meet current regulations.

Specialties

The increasing demands to reduce landfill and meet the recycling targets imposed by new legislation have further added to the pressures on waste producers. In this climate Waste Way has been working closely with customers to achieve the required standards and, given the current economic situation, keeping a careful watch on the bottom line.

Founder and managing director, Peter Kelly, brings a wealth of experience to the team and has been heavily involved in developing the company’s safe and responsible special waste management policies. The effects of changing legislation and regulation have been part of that development process. Over the last thirty plus years Peter has not only seen Waste Way expand but also the waste business turn into an industry.
