Why swomky ?
Straw is a by-product that is produced during the production of wheat and rye.
After mowing the grain and removing the ear with grains, the stalks are suitable for use as animal food or ... drinking straws!
Our tubes after use can go directly to the compost, where, unlike those made of plastic, they will decompose naturally, without endangering the environment.
Specialties
Our alternative to plastic is simple: 100% natural, biodegradable and compostable wheat stems that cause no harm to the environment.
Wheat stems are usually considered a waste product. Once the grain is harvested the base of the plant is often utilized, so we are giving what would be waste - a second life. A truly ecological solution!
