Francois Le Scornet carries nearly 15 years of international experience in the power generation sector (hydropower, nuclear, fuel cells, solar). Francois has an excellent track record in marketing and business development as well as product management in the power generation industry (solar, nuclear, hydropower, hydrogen). He holds a Master in Chemistry from ECPM Strasbourg and a Specialized Master in International business from HEC Paris. In 2017, Francois became an independant consultant and created Carbonexit Consulting. Based in France, he supports companies, public bodies and associations to better prepare and benefit from the ecological transition. Carbonexit Consulting provides strategic studies and product marketing analysis to support low-carbon energy technology applications (solar, nuclear, hydropower, hydrogen). Prior to this, Francois served at GE Renewable between 2013 to 2016 in various roles in Marketing and strategy as well as product management. In this role, he had the global responsibilities of leading the Market forecasting effort for the hydro business (services, large modernization, new plants) and also supported the solar business. He drove the target priorization determination for all geographies and segments as well as the market intelligence efforts in support to GE top management. Previously, Francois has served at AREVA (2004-2013) and the US Department of Energy (2001-2002) and CEPN (2003). During this period, François mostly worked on business development and marketing for products and services targeting the existing nuclear plants (maintenance and modernization, safety and performance improvements, radiation detection, uranium mining) as well as the development of fuel cells.
