In 2009 BluPlanet Recycling took its first steps in making Calgary, and the planet, a more sustainable place to live. Starting with only a few multi-family properties, BluPlanet now services over 40,000 residences and hundreds of businesses in Calgary and the surrounding area.

Locally owned and operated, BluPlanet has grown into Calgary’s largest multi-family provider providing custom solutions for any site. B-Corp certified since 2011, BluPlanet focuses on a triple bottom line through community outreach programs, employee mentorship, green initiatives, and more.

Working closely with the City of Calgary, BluPlanet was able to successfully equip businesses and multi-family complexes with blue recycling bins in 2016 and green organic totes in 2017 after the by-laws were implemented.

Now in 2020, BluPlanet helps divert over 8,000,000 kg of material from the landfill each year and continues to educate clients on waste reduction.
